Forge Car Wash ("we", "us") provides mobile car-wash services in Abu Dhabi through the Forge Car Wash app. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the app, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain language on purpose.
What we collect
- Account details — your name, mobile phone number, and email address if you sign in with email, Google or Apple.
- Service addresses — the addresses you save so our team can reach your car, including the exact map location you pin and any directions you add.
- Vehicle details — make, model, colour and licence plate of the cars you add.
- Bookings and memberships — your booking history, membership plan, loyalty stamps and referral activity, and the ratings and comments you leave after a wash.
- Payment records — the amount, date and status of payments. Card details are entered directly into our payment processor, Stripe, and we never see or store your card number.
- Wash photos — before-and-after photos of your vehicle taken by our team, attached to your booking so you can see the result.
- Device information — a push-notification token so we can send booking updates, and anonymous crash reports (via Firebase Crashlytics) that help us fix problems. Crash reports are not linked to your identity.
How we use it
- To provide the service: schedule washes, send our team to the right car at the right address, and take payment.
- To keep you informed: booking confirmations, driver on the way, wash completed, refunds — sent as push notifications in your chosen language.
- To run memberships, loyalty stamps and referrals you choose to use.
- To fix problems, using crash reports and payment-failure diagnostics.
- If you try to book outside our service area, we note the area you requested so we can tell you when we expand there.
We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that make the app work, and only what each needs:
- Google Firebase — our database, sign-in and notifications infrastructure.
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to card data.
- Google Maps Platform — address search and map display.
- Apple / Expo — delivery of push notifications.
- Resend — sending our emails to you, such as receipts and account messages.
We may also disclose information where the law of the United Arab Emirates requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information and booking history while your account exists, and financial records for as long as UAE tax and accounting rules require. Wash photos remain attached to their booking. Live driver-location data, when tracking features are used, is not stored after a job ends.
Your choices and rights
- You can view and edit your name, cars and addresses in the app at any time.
- You can delete your account and its data yourself in the app, under Account → Delete account, or ask us to do it by contacting support@forgecarwash.com. You can also ask us for a copy of your data. We action requests promptly, keeping only records we are legally required to retain.
- You can switch off push notifications in your device settings at any time.
Children
The app is intended for adults booking car-wash services and is not directed at children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
